7th and 8th grade extra credit or community service opportunity

This Thursday night we will be hosting a demonstration and hands-on instrument night for incoming 6th graders and their parents in the C-building at Maywood. We need band and orchestra 7th and 8th graders to help at the hands-on stations and possibly in the demonstration room. If you are available from 6-8pm this Thursday and would like to help please let Ms. Sunmark know. Thanks Everyone!

Tie Order for Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band 7th and 8th grade guys

DEADLINE NOVEMBER 4TH
We will be placing an order for ties for 7th and 8th grade male band members through 'solidcolorneckties.com'.
8th grade Wind Ensemble members MUST order a silver tie through the school so we all match.
7th grade Symphonic Band members may order a black tie if they need one.
Ties are $4.25. A bargain!

Put your check or cash in an envelope with your first and last name and class period on it please. Checks should be made out to MMS. We will be placing the order on November 4th so the ties will arrive in time for our November 17th concert. Wind Ensemble members, if you miss the order you will need to order one on your own and you will be charged extra for shipping.

Band Night at Liberty for 7th and 8th grade band students

Band Night is this Friday, September 30th, at Liberty High School. 7th and 8th grade band students will join the high school band to perform at the game. Rehearsal begins at 4pm in the Liberty Band Room. Students may ride the bus from Maywood to Liberty after school and wait in the band room for rehearsal to begin. If you are not riding the bus from Maywood parents will need to drop you off at Liberty by 3:50pm. Chaperones needed for Band Night at Liberty

We're looking for a few parents to help with Band Night at Liberty. Your responsibilities would be to help set up for the pizza dinner and help students line up for our performance. An easy evening and you get free pizza! Please email me if you can help. We would need your help from 5 to about 6:30pm. sunmarkk@issaquah.wednet.edu.

Band Night at Liberty for 7th and 8th grade band students

7th and 8th grade band students will be performing with the Liberty band at the September 30th home football game. This is such a great event. We usually fill up an entire section of the bleachers! Please look for the band night document in "Maywood Band Documents" in the right hand column for more information. You will need to print and return the second page with your pizza order by September 16th.
