Fall Jazz Band for 7th and 8th graders

Fall Jazz Band Starts next Thursday, September 25th right after school. All instruments are welcome. There are no auditions but we can only take 2 drum set players. We can have 5 percussionists overall but 2 will be the dedicated set players and the others will trade off on auxiliary percussion and vibraphone. We need piano, stand-up bass, electric bass, and guitar players as well. You must read music.

If you plan to be involved in wrestling or girls basketball you will have to wait for the Spring session of jazz band (you would be missing our December and January rehearsals and our concert is the first week of February). If you are in cross country, softball or volleyball you will miss most of the October jazz practices but will be able to join us for our November, December and January rehearsals and therefore be ready for the February 4th performance.

Our Spring session will start on February 12th. Those involved in boy's jambouree basketball, boy's basketball, girl's soccer and girls jambouree soccer will not be able to join us for the Spring session. Those involved in track will be able to participate in jazz band.

Jazz rehearsals end at 3:55 in time to catch the activity bus.
