Now is the time to decide if you would like to participate in The Eastshore Region Solo and Ensemble Festival held this year at Chief Kanim Middle School on March 9th. Solo and Ensemble Festival is an optional event designed to give students the opportunity to prepare and perform a solo piece or in a small ensemble before a professional musician adjudicator. Adjudicators listen to performances and give students helpful feedback on how they are doing and things to work on for the future. Students receive a rating of gold, silver or bronze along with a feedback sheet.
Registration forms will be coming out in the next few weeks and students should be working with Ms. Sunmark or their private instructor to select a piece of music to prepare.
Performance times will be assigned and a schedule will be available two weeks prior to the event. You should arrive at least 30 minutes before your assigned time. Your performance time slot is 10 minutes long.You and your family are welcome to stay to listen to other performances.
