Junior All State

7th or 8th grade band students have the opportunity to perform with one of the two Junior All State bands at the Music Educators Convention in February. Being chosen for these groups is an honor. If you would like to be chosen to play you will need to record your audition on October 9th after school in the band room. All students should have received the audition material in class. The music is difficult and you should audition only if you feel prepared. Recording sessions will be 10 minutes only (percussion - 15 minutes). You will need to sign up for a time slot. There are four excerpts to record (8 for percussionists). Maywood has had students chosen for both band and orchestra each year we have participated.

Those auditioning must bring a registration form with $10 (cash please). Ms. Sunmark will be sending in the registrations and auditions via the internet by the October 12th deadline.
