3rd period Wind Ensemble and 5th period Wind Symphony trip to Pacific Lutheran University

Dear Parents, Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony Members,


Our Pacific Lutheran University trip is scheduled for Thursday, March 19.
I am very pleased with our itinerary and the day is sure to leave a lasting memory with all
the participants.
I am most excited about the opportunity for musical growth for the Maywood students as they
work with Dr. Edwin Powell, Director of Bands and his students. 


Here is the plan for the day:
7:50am         Meet in Maywood band room and load instruments on bus
8:15           Depart for PLU
9:30            Arrive at PLU meet in Lagerquist Hall
Set up hall
10:00-10:30 Campus scavenger hunt
10:30-11:15     Lunch
11:30 - 1:45    Clinic with Dr. Powell in Lagerquist Hall
2:00            Depart PLU
3:00            Arrive back at Maywood (depending on traffic)


Permission slip and cost for the day
Cost per student is $30.00 prepaid to Polly Niblock our bookkeeper. This covers our transportation. 


Please submit your check payable to MMS and your permission slip 
If your permission slip is not turned in by
Monday, March 16th
you will not be allowed to attend the event.


Bring $10-$15 on the day of the trip for lunch at the food court or you can bring a sack lunch.
