One-on-One lessons with our professional musicians

Our professional musicians are visiting our classes to introduce themselves to the students. This week Florie Rothenberg (clarinet), Bruce Carpenter (oboe, bassoon, saxophone and clarinet), Rose Johnson (flute) and Rulon Brown (saxophone, flute, composition, improvisation, computer music) were here to work with instrument sections or give a presentation to the entire class.
Next week Jacob Tacher (percussion), Rebecca Musselwhite (low brass) and John Groves (low brass) will be visiting. I am corresponding with a trumpet instructor and hope to have him come to Maywood in the next week or so.

Florie, Bruce and John are now teaching after school at Maywood. We would like for Rose, Rulon, Jacob and Rebecca to join us but we need to fill up their schedule in order for it to make sense for them financially. They do currently teach either out of their home studio or a music shop.

Please let me know if you would like me to connect you to an instructor by emailing me at sunmarkk@issaquah.wednet.edu.

You will find contact information for many of them in the band handbook as well.

Private lessons are the best way to insure good habits and success. Plus its just plain FUN!
